The Victims’ Commissioner and the Domestic Abuse Commissioner express concerns about the drop in domestic abuse prosecutions

Dame Vera Baird QC, Victims Commissioner for England and Wales, and Nicole Jacobs, Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales, have sent a letter to the Attorney General, the Home Secretary and the Justice Secretary expressing concerns about the drop in domestic violence abuse prosecutions despite the increased volumes of domestic abuse cases that have been reported to and recorded by the police in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
